australis: 'southern', or more generally referring to Australia.

Range

Occurs largely in the eastern interior of the continent, from north-eastern Queensland south through New South Wales and into northern Victoria and south-eastern South Australia. It can be found near the coast in some areas.

Found in the following Australian states/territories

New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria

Habitat

Woodlands, shrublands and other open habitats throughout its range.
