Ctenophorus butleri - (Storr, 1977)
Pronunciation  ten-OFF-or-uss   BUTT-lerr-ee
Etymology  Ctenophorus: 'comb-bearer', refering to the comb-like scales around the eyes.
butleri: "This subspecies is named after Mr and Mrs W.H. Butler, whose generous grant to the Western Australian Museum enabled us to carry out a herpetofaunal survey of Edel Land and other parts of the Shark Bay region". (Storr 1977)

Range

Found on Dirk Hartog Island and the adjacent Edel Land Peninsula near Shark Bay, Western Australia. Isolated records further south along the coast to Kalbarri.
