Range

Coastal regions of northern and north-eastem Australia. Ranges extra-limitally from islands of western Pacific through Indo Malaysia to South East Asia and India.

Historic records from south of Brisbane.

Found in the following Australian states/territories

Northern Territory, Queensland, Western Australia

Habitat

An inhabitant of coastal rivers and swarnps, though often seen in the open sea, but extending well inland via major rivers and the billabongs in the river floodplains.
