Pronunciation  ann-OMM-ah-loh-puss  
Etymology  Anomalopus: 'strange foot'.
mackayi: "Named for Roy D. Mackay, formerly of the Australian Museum and founder of the Australian Herpetological Society."1
Other names  five-clawed worm-skink (despite each individual having ten claws in total (G. Shea, pers. comm 2012))
